In an effort to digitalize the automotive industry with on-demand solutions by freely connecting car drivers with auto workshops to boost confidence in car-focused MSMEs and help the local economy, CarKer, the first startup in Mexico backed by Mobil aims to fulfill its promise.

“CarKer revolutionizes the way Mexicans care for their cars and changes forever the relationship that mechanics have with their clients,” said Leslie Lulka, General Manager, CarKer.

ExxonMobil created CarKer to diversify business models in Mexico and encourage digitalization within the Mexican automotive industry by connecting car users to electric, body shop, tuning, lubrication, painting, mechanics and other specialized services offered by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Mexico City.

The startup’s platform offers to be the intermediary between a car user that requires automotive service and auto workshops that have been approved to offer a qualified service of excellence backed by their servicing experience.

In other words, CarKer offers an automotive solutions ecosystem for car users while simultaneously boosting the local economy by promoting car-specialized MSMEs, to “transform the world of automotive care,” according to their video ad.

This turns CarKer into the first startup in the country to be backed by Mobil, which means that the registered auto workshops in the platform abide by the globally recognized Mobil’s quality standards.

The startup guarantees that every workshop registered has agreed to comply with the company’s politics, which are transparency with the client, fair price offering, quality-focused services, and inclusive treatment.

On the other hand, CarKer commits to offer an on-demand automotive digital, practical, trustworthy and easy-access solution, by connecting users with nearby specialists that have achieved Mobil’s trust mark while promoting a collaborative economy at a local level.

The platform’s services are offered without cost and allow both parties to monitor end-to-end the service process from the diagnostic, follow-up, appointment status, message reception to the service evaluation. The evaluation process, according to the company’s website, is highly important given that it helps future clients to choose the option that best adapts to their necessities.

In addition, users can receive benefits for being part of the CarKer referral program, such as becoming an ambassador of the platform, completing services and inviting friends to join CarKer.
