ZF Group has announced plans to expand its domestic distribution network for commercial vehicle aftermarket products and services in Mexico. Beginning on April 1, ZF Aftermarket will distribute ZF, Lemförder, Sachs, TRW and WABCO aftermarket products from an expanded facility in Guadalajara to commercial vehicle distributors and OE suppliers throughout the country.

“ZF Aftermarket seeks to be the commercial-vehicle industry’s essential partner of choice as we provide advanced technology, services and digital solutions throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle, for both conventional commercial vehicles and next generation mobility,” says Elena Donahue, Head of Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket & Fleet Business, ZF Group.

The company's commitment to growth in Mexico is demonstrated by its continued investment in the country. The move to expand its product and service offerings in Mexico is part of ZF Aftermarket's holistic approach to becoming the essential partner of choice for the commercial vehicle aftermarket, according to the company.

The range of key products that will be available in Mexico includes ZF transmissions, Lemförder linkages, TRW steering gears and power steering pumps, Sachs clutches and dampers, and WABCO air disc brakes, air compressors, air dryers and trailer ABS.

“Having a distribution center for commercial vehicle technology within the region means that we can respond to customers quickly and efficiently, drawing from the industry’s largest portfolio of more than 70,000 part numbers for commercial vehicles,” says Thomas Kerkhoff, Managing Director Aftermarket for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, ZF Group.

Moreover, ZF Aftermarket is enhancing its service offerings in Mexico with standard or premium [pro]Service access to help professional commercial vehicle workshops stay ahead by providing the highest-level know-how and expertise, the company says. The standard or premium services under ZF [pro]Service include direct contact with the specialists from ZF Aftermarket, a technical hotline, an extensive range of standard training and support with vehicle diagnostics.

"Uptime is everything — we understand that and are closely collaborating with workshops and our service partner network to develop a deep understanding of their service needs and to expand our ability to respond to them quickly, completely and with the right know-how," says Donahue.

ZF is a global technology company that develops and supplies systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industrial technology to enable the next generation of mobility. ZF has 18 locations in Mexico, including 11 manufacturing facilities for chassis, steering, braking and other components, and dedicated aftermarket sites in Cienega de Flores, Chihuahua and Guadalajara. ZF opened a new R&D and Shared Services Center in Monterey in 2022 and is building a manufacturing plant on the same site to begin production of advanced electronics and safety devices in 2023.
