The book launch took place at Torre Punta Reforma during a networking cocktail that gathered top leaders, decision-makers and authorities from across the industry. Among those present were officials from the Ministry of Energy, representatives from PEMEX and private players including Total, Schlumberger, Grupo TMM and COSL.

Opening the event, Mexico Business Publishing’s Managing Director Jeroen Posma welcomed guests and noted the new book’s coverage of an unusually turbulent period in Mexico’s oil and gas history. The industry witnessed the introduction of a new energy strategy and the plan to revitalize PEMEX, while private investment continued to flow into the country at the same time that Eni started delivering results in offshore production.

Mexico Oil and Gas Review 2019/20 reviews the highs and lows of the past year and continues Mexico Business Publishing’s record of providing expert analysis across Mexico’s major industries. “This unprecedented access to ideas, insights and ambitions of Mexico’s business and political leaders will help the country to capitalize on its tremendous potential for years to come,” said Posma.

Thorough analysis of the López Obrador energy strategy and leading private offshore developments were included in this latest edition, he noted. Interviews from industry authorities such as CNH commissioners Alma América Porres, Sergio Pimentel and Héctor Moreira; Talos Energy CEO Tim Duncan; Grupo Protexa CEO Rodrigo Lobo and President of the Energy Commission in the Chamber of Deputies Manuel Rodríguez provide essential information to serve business and political leaders as a decision-making tool.
