Mexico's Evolving Legal & Regulatory Landscape

While major changes to the legal framework of the Mexican oil and gas industry’s upstream segment have been avoided despite the government’s previous political opposition to the Energy Reform, certain key modifications to institutional functioning and internal public authority arrangements are underway. Because of this, Mexico Oil and Gas Summit 2021 presented the panel titled “Mexico’s Evolving Legal & Regulatory Landscape” to bring together experts in legal and regulatory processes surrounding the industry to discuss what exactly has changed, how those changes could affect the work of operators and contractors and how this new outlook will influence policy in the short to medium term.
