During Mexico Oil & Gas Summit 2020, José Antonio de la Vega, Minister for Energy Development for the State of Tabasco offered an expert view into the development of Tabasco’s role in the future of Mexico’s oil and gas industry, including the opportunities present in the state’s onshore and offshore environments. Tabasco is the state that has offered the overwhelming majority of private production since the Energy Reform, and is the chosen location for the government’s Dos Bocas refinery, now 24 percent complete. The minister offered updates on the refinery, adding that Tabasco would also expand its renewable opportunities.
