Sheinbaum highlighted that this measure will recover approximately MX$10 billion and expressed confidence that all banks will comply. She explained that a small portion of what banks contribute to this debt, which was originally private but became public, had previously been deductible, but this will no longer be allowed starting next year.

Ayotzinapa. Following a meeting with the mothers and fathers of the Ayotzinapa students, President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that new investigative lines and methods, previously unexplored, are being pursued in the case. She emphasized that the goal is to ensure cases are prosecuted with sufficient evidence, so that judges will have no reason to deny arrest warrants or formal charges.

Sheinbaum acknowledged complaints from the parents regarding the perceived lack of progress after one year of her administration and their request to involve independent experts. She added that she has asked the Ministry of the Interior to engage with the United Nations to seek additional expert support.
