Coahuila mine accident. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador sent his condolences to the families of miners who died after an accident at a coal mine in Múzquiz, Coahuila on June 4. Last night, the last body of the seven miners was recovered after a dam broke. "We once again send our condolences to the family members and we will inform them. They acted early and with many elements, of course, hoping to find the miners alive." Afterward, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, head of the Ministry of Defense (SEDENA), reported that 145 members of the armed forces and 21 National Guard members participated in the recovery effort. News reports said the mine collapsed, trapping the miners.

Conservatism growing. López Obrador said that after the midterm elections held on Sunday, it is clear that conservatism is advancing while praising the participation of citizens in the poll. "The most outstanding thing was the participation of the people, the vote of the citizens was respected," he said.
