Mexico Rejects Accepting More Than 1,000 Expelled Migrants per Day From the US. Mexico will not accept more than 1,000 migrants per day expelled from the US once Title 42 ends, according to Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard. Moreover, he made it clear that the country does not have the capacity to receive a higher number from the US.

Ebrard affirmed that Mexico's position regarding the US’ immigration policy is to promote an orderly and regular pathway for individuals to work in the US. He stated fake data has been circulating regarding the arrival of migrants from the US to Mexico, as in 2022, the highest number received in a month was 16,000.

Yesterday, during the termination of Title 42, 942 people who were not accepted in the US were expelled to Mexico. Ebrard mentioned that if this number were to be exceeded, individuals would not be received at the border crossing.

AMLO Calls on Mexican-Americans Not to Vote for Candidates Like John Kennedy. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador called on Mexicans in the US not to vote for candidates who use Mexico for their electoral campaigns in the upcoming elections. The President reiterated to migrants not to support candidates who are "very arrogant, very offensive and very stubborn. Those who have a migrant grandparent or a migrant parent who arrived in the US, cannot support these attitudes."

López Obrador said that his government will maintain a good neighbor policy with the American people. However, insulting Mexico will not be allowed. “We will not allow anyone to do it ... This is part of a campaign strategy and politics takes time. If they have started like this, we will gradually respond. Why say more?"

He also affirmed that Mexico will not remain silent or idle because the country is independent, free and sovereign. Furthermore, López Obrador warned Republicans that there are at least 40 million Mexicans in the US and in every 100 students, 24 speak Spanish. He also mentioned that figures like Kennedy and the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, who have engaged in politics and attempted to gain political advantage with an anti-immigrant discourse, should be aware of the economic balance of the country.
