Genaro García Luna/Lilia Paredes visits AMLO

Genaro García Luna. President López Obrador said Genaro García Luna´s trial cannot be unlinked from the PAN party. 

Yesterday, PAN´s national leadership said that the former Minister of Public Security had never been a member of the party and made a call to act against corrupt government officials. 

Lilia Paredes, wife of the former president of Peru visits AMLO. President López Obrador reiterated his solidarity with Lilia Paredes, the wife of ousted Peruvian president Pedro Castillo.  

Lilia Paredes who has been granted political asylum in Mexico since December met with López Obrador to ask the government to increase its claims for the liberation of her husband who was arrested after trying to carry out a self-coup. 

“Mexico will keep supporting the president (Pedro Castillo) because he was unjustly and illegally removed from his position and we will keep demanding his liberation. He should not be in jail, this is a great injustice,” said López Obrador.
