Higher Incentives for Mexican Athletes. President Claudia Sheinbaum hosted Central American and Caribbean Games medalists, recognizing their performance after Mexico secured a record 407 medals, including over 160 gold medals. Romel Pacheco, Director General, National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE), announced that economic incentives will be awarded for every individual medal won by athletes and coaches, rather than restricting rewards to a single top medal per competitor. Sheinbaum further announced an increase in athlete scholarship allocations starting in January 2027 and emphasized the role of physical education in developing student discipline across public schools.

Housing Program Progress in Yucatan. Governor of Yucatan Joaquin Diaz Mena reported progress under the Maya Renaissance initiative, confirming 12,500 signed agreements toward a regional target of 38,500 housing units. Diaz noted that additional housing allocations executed through the National Housing Commission (CONAVI) will extend coverage across 29 municipalities in Yucatan.

Humanitarian Aid Airlift to Colombia. President Claudia Sheinbaum announced the departure of two Mexican Air Force aircraft carrying 854 food baskets, totaling 19.5t of humanitarian relief, alongside Mexican Army personnel to Pereira, Colombia. The deployment was executed following a direct request from the Colombian government to support recovery operations after the August 10 earthquake.
