Judiciary Elections. Federal Legal Counsel Ernestina Godoy outlined the structure of Mexico’s judicial system and the positions set to be elected on June 1, 2025. A total of 881 federal judicial roles will be up for election, including nine Supreme Court justices. The institutions involved include the Supreme Court, regional panels, circuit and appellate courts, district courts, and the Electoral Court.

Godoy explained that the Judicial Disciplinary Court, made up of three women and two men, will handle investigations and rulings on administrative misconduct within the judiciary. She also described the role of the new Judiciary Administration Body, which will be responsible for regulatory oversight, coordination of support offices, and budget management.

Additionally, she noted that the Electoral Court will continue to serve as the highest authority in electoral matters, reinforcing the transparency and structure of the upcoming judicial elections.

Well-Being Pension Program. Well-Being Minister Ariadna Montiel announced that over 1.1 million women are now enrolled in the Well-Being Pension for Women program, with a total investment of MX$5.57 billion as of March 2025. Women who registered in February will receive their cards between April 21 and 30, with details shared via SMS or at gob.mx/Bienestar.

Starting August 2025, the program will be extended to include women aged 60 to 62, making it fully accessible to women aged 60 to 64. Registration for this group will take place between Aug. 4 and 30.
