Agreement With Corn Producers and Input Suppliers. Sheinbaum announced that today's agenda includes a signing ceremony bringing together corn growers, agricultural input vendors, and flour purchasers around a new commercial framework designed to protect pricing equity across the supply chain.
"This is a corn trade regulation agreement that will always allow us to guarantee a fair price for both the producer and the consumer, something we have been working on for a long time and that today becomes a reality."
Infonavit Delivers Housing Units in Guanajuato. As part of the federal push to broaden access to affordable housing, Octavio Romero, Head, Infonavit, presided over a handover ceremony at the Real de San José residential complex in Guanajuato.
"This is the 23rd housing delivery event, we already have 81 residential complexes across the country delivering homes, 27 are already fully placed, and we have assigned more than 19,500 units. Here at Real de San José there are 111 homes ready to be handed over. We thank the governor of Guanajuato for her support."
Railway Construction. General Ricardo Vallejo reported that railway projects led by the Ministry of National Defense are moving forward on schedule.
"It is important to note that we are working with the freight agency because they are the most active in the country, moving the largest volume of cargo, and we must coordinate all construction efforts with them … We have 14 construction fronts operating simultaneously … 1,000 direct jobs and the project advancing without setbacks."
Vallejo also outlined the scope of new rail corridors under development connecting Mexico City to key regions across the country:
- Mexico City–Pachuca: A 58km electrified double-track corridor for electric trains is taking shape, part of a broader 121km new rail construction effort.
- Mexico City–Queretaro: The route covers 232km of terrain, though the full construction scope climbs to 545km given the simultaneous build-out of both passenger and cargo infrastructure.
- National Railway Expansion: Engineering plans are actively being developed for more than 1,326km of additional corridors, stretching across routes including Irapuato–Guadalajara, Queretaro–San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi–Saltillo, and Mazatlan–Los Mochis.
