New Transport Protest. President Claudia Sheinbaum emphasized that her administration has maintained communication with transport workers, holding multiple dialogue sessions. Her comments come in response to a large-scale blockade announced for today on major roads across the country.

“It is important for people to know that we have been engaging with them and that there have been working groups. So it is not accurate to say there is no dialogue. Some are now bringing up the water law; there is an ongoing discussion in Congress. And, of course, those who hold concessions are not happy with the law, but we must continue moving forward,” she said.

Sheinbaum to Meet Tomorrow With the President of Honduras. Sheinbaum announced that she will welcome Honduras’ President Xiomara Castro tomorrow. She noted that the visit will be an official state meeting with full protocol and highlighted the positive relationship between both nations.

“We will receive her tomorrow for a formal state visit. As we always do, we will hold the official ceremony: we welcome her, both national anthems are played, and then we will proceed to a series of private meetings with her,” she stated.

Medicines Delivered in Three Months. Alejandro Svarch, Head, IMSS-Bienestar, reported that over the past three months, more than 70 million medicines have been delivered to over 8,000 health centers. She added that starting today and through Nov. 28, 328 “Health Routes” will be deployed to travel through mountains, rivers, and rural roads to ensure each medical unit receives full and timely supplies.

“We confirm and continue planning the free provision of medicines. Over these past three months, we have achieved something very important: more than 8,000 health centers and over 600 hospitals have been continuously supplied, delivering over 70 million medicines to our medical staff,” she said.
