Sheinbaum Receives New US Ambassador / Youth Building the Future

Youth Building the Future. Minister of Labor Marath Bolaños provided an update on the Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro (Youth Building the Future) program. Since its inception in 2019, the initiative has disbursed MX$139 billion (US$7.1 billion) among 3,164,717 young participants, of whom 60% are women and 40% men.
Beneficiaries receive a direct monthly payment of MX$8,489 and are provided with IMSS medical insurance. The government plans to invest around MX$25.205 billion for the program in 2025. Bolaños highlighted that graduates from the program are three times more likely to find employment, and seven out of 10 participants secure a job or a productive occupation.
Sheinbaum to Welcome New US Ambassador. President Claudia Sheinbaum announced she will receive five new ambassadors at Palacio Nacional. Including the US Ambassador Ronald Douglas Johnson.
The incoming ambassadors are Messaoud Mehila from the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Juan Bolívar Díaz from the Dominican Republic, Carlos Fernando García from the Republic of Colombia, Milan Cigán from the Slovak Republic, and Ronald Douglas Johnson from the United States.
President Sheinbaum highlighted her intention to maintain a good relationship with the government of the United States.
