Sheinbaum Rules Out US Invasion. President Claudia Sheinbaum denied that a new executive order signed by President Donald Trump for the US military to combat fentanyl trafficking implies an invasion of Mexican territory. She stated that the order pertains to actions within the United States and has nothing to do with Mexico.
President Sheinbaum asserted that in all conversations with US officials, her administration has consistently maintained that the incursion of US military personnel on Mexican territory is not permitted and is not part of any agreement. She emphasized that this position has been firm whenever the topic has been raised. She concluded that while Mexico cooperates and collaborates with the United States, an invasion is ruled out.
