Suburban Train to AIFA/ Terminal 2 Rehabilitation

Suburban Train to AIFA. The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) announced that the construction of the suburban train that connects Buenavista with the new Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) is 39% complete. Moreover, the Head of SICT explained that currently the Ministry is working on 10 fronts, mainly on track assembly. 

In addition, State of Mexico Governor, Alfredo del Mazo, highlighted that the rehabilitation and construction of new roads to reach AIFA will help to connect the entity with Mexico City, benefiting the inhabitants of the Mexico City metropolitan area.  

AICM Terminal 2 Rehabilitation. Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum reported that the rehabilitation of Terminal 2 of Mexico City’s International Airport (AICM) is at 27%. Furthermore, she pointed out that rehabilitation projects are expected to conclude in June 2023. 

Elections in Tamaulipas. President López Obrador touted the celebration of an extraordinary election carried out without violence in Tamaulipas to choose the next representative of the entity before the Senate. José Ramón Gómez Leal, candidate for MORENA, is at the top of the election and expects to be the winner.
