Mexico por el Clima and Nat5 announced a strategic alliance to co-produce the upcoming Semana de Acción 2026, a regional platform designed to integrate climate action, nature regeneration, and traceable environmental investment across Latin America and the Caribbean, with Mexico positioned as a central hub for climate innovation.

The event will take place Oct. 5–9 at Bosque de Chapultepec in Mexico City and will expand the Nat5 Live Marketplace model into a broader investment and collaboration platform. The initiative will connect corporates, governments, investors, financial institutions, and project developers through certified nature-based assets, including biodiversity, carbon, water, and soil credits under the aOCP standard.

In its 2025 edition, Semana de Acción brought together more than 4,000 participants, 300 speakers, and 300 organizations across 150 sessions. The event also operated under a Carbono Cero+ framework and generated more than 20 million media impacts, according to organizers. That same year, the Nat5 Live Marketplace facilitated direct interaction between supply and demand for environmental assets, enabling the exchange of more than one million nature-positive credits without intermediaries.

For 2026, organizers aim to scale this model into a permanent ecosystem that extends beyond a single annual forum. The alliance is structured around four strategic objectives: democratizing climate action across sectors of society, building a continuous multisector collaboration ecosystem, mobilizing capital toward regenerative and climate-positive projects, and positioning Mexico as a regional hub for climate innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean. The initiative also seeks to strengthen the development of a voluntary nature market across the region.

Mexico por el Clima operates as a multisector coordination platform that brings together the private sector, government institutions, civil society organizations, academia, and citizens. Its core objective is to transform climate commitments into measurable outcomes with verifiable territorial impact, shifting sustainability pledges into implementation frameworks tied to real-world environmental results.

Nat5 functions as a global nature markets platform focused on environmental project certification and ESG-aligned investment. Its model is based on certified climate and ecological projects, supported by technological traceability systems and multi-asset issuance covering biodiversity, carbon, water, and soil. The platform aims to connect investors and corporations seeking verifiable environmental impact with certified project developers operating under internationally recognized standards.

The 2026 edition of the event will be held under the theme Regenerar la Naturaleza, Reinventar el Futuro (Regenerate Nature, Reinvent the Future). The event is expected to deepen its transition from a high-level dialogue forum into a functional climate action and green business platform.

Programming will be structured around three core pillars. The first, Catalytic Innovation, will focus on climate technology, entrepreneurship, and economic models supporting a regenerative economy. The second, Resilient Ecosystems, will center on the restoration and protection of natural systems, including biodiversity, water, and soil. The third, Planetary Awakening, will address education, climate awareness, and climate justice.

Organizers said the integration of these pillars is intended to strengthen both market mechanisms and public engagement, while supporting investment flows into nature-based solutions. The platform is also designed to enhance traceability and accountability in environmental finance through certified measurement and verification systems.

By combining Nat5’s technology-driven environmental market infrastructure with Mexico por el Clima’s multisector coordination model, the alliance is aimed at accelerating  the development of scalable climate solutions and position Mexico as a leading node in regional climate finance and regenerative investment networks.
