As companies face rising talent shortages and evolving job requirements, technology startup Orbio aims to redefine the role of human resources departments. Orbio is launching a platform of AI agents that automate repetitive HR tasks and enable strategic talent management.

With projections indicating that over 40% of core work skills will change by 2030, businesses across multiple markets are under pressure to adapt. Orbio’s platform addresses this shift by offering 24/7 AI agents that assist in talent acquisition and development while improving data utilization and streamlining administrative workflows.

“Orbio was born with the purpose of empowering HR and leading change,” says Sergi Bastardas, CEO, Orbio. “Our AI agents capture and analyze data, automate tasks, and allow HR teams to focus on strategic planning.”

The company claims its solution can speed up hiring processes by up to 80%, reduce turnover, and maintain continuous workforce management. It uses conversation and document analysis to generate actionable insights for HR teams. The platform focuses on two main functions: recruitment and onboarding, and employee development and engagement.

“After more than a decade in the tech sector, I have seen HR teams struggle to balance strategy and operations. Our AI assistants handle the routine, helping teams become architects of talent,” says Nacho Travesí, Co-Founder, Orbio.

Orbio is active in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. The company reports that major employers in Mexico have already adopted the platform, recognizing its potential to address structural HR challenges in the region’s changing labor market.

Founded by Bastardas, Travesí, and Antonio Melé, Orbio draws on the founders’ backgrounds in technology, scalability, and digital transformation. The startup positions itself as a tool to align business and organizational goals in the face of workforce evolution.
