Mexico City, April 20, 2023. - Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that Mexico has a 75% prevalence of stress in its workforce, which places it in first place above China and the US.

On the other hand, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) shows that Mexico is the country that works the longest hours in the world. On average, Mexicans work 2,124 hours per year, when the average for the countries in the organization is 1,687 hours.

Mexican companies need to implement or improve their internal value proposition to reduce stress and labor turnover rates, as they have become a problem that directly impacts productivity and operation companies.

Currently, the preferences of the new generations go beyond work, as they are more inclined to well-being and quality of life instead of working in unhealthy environments or environments that do not generate value for them.

“It's important that companies pay attention to the problem of work stress and offer wellness and support strategies to reduce its negative impact on the health and wellbeing of employees. Reducing the workload, work flexibility and paying attention to the employee's wellbeing are key elements to achieve this,” says Candelaria Alcorta, Country Manager, Bonda in Mexico.

That is why from a platform that has benefit programs and customized solutions, we work to enhance the relationship between the company and its employees effectively through business partnerships and benefit programs, providing the tools to implement or improve this strategy so that companies can work on the relationship with their employees and reduce staff turnover, an issue of concern in the labor market today.

As for the Mexican market, Bonda is paying special attention to doubling the number of clients in Mexico City, as well as in Guadalajara, Monterrey and Queretaro. The company has identified areas of opportunity in the labor sector due to the need to preserve talent, improve the productivity in business operations and the wellbeing of employees.
