Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies ratified an amendment to the nation’s social security law that extends access to insurance and other social benefits to domestic workers.  Meanwhile, academic and private business leaders look to foment the science, technology and innovation maturity of Mexico as a source of economic might.

In international news, US automaker Ford inaugurates a US$260 million technology and business campus in Mexico, which is expected to support 9,000 collaborators.
