IBERO Puebla, Huawei Partner to Advance Digital Education
Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla (IBERO Puebla) and Huawei Mexico signed a collaboration agreement aimed at integrating technological innovation into academic programs. The partnership seeks to provide students and faculty with access to cutting-edge resources, certifications, and training through Huawei’s educational platform, Huawei Academy.
“Innovation in technology is now present in every aspect of human life, and education is no exception,” says Mario Patrón, Rector, IBERO Puebla.
Through Huawei Academy, faculty and students will have access to training programs and certifications designed to enhance digital skills. Patrón says that equipping educators with technological tools is essential for preparing students for future challenges.
“Universities are incubators of ideas, creativity, and change. This collaboration allows us to strengthen student talent and expand its impact beyond the classroom,” says Eric Liu, Director of Business Environment Board, Huawei Mexico.
The agreement focuses on fostering digital literacy and reducing technological gaps. It also aligns with IBERO Puebla’s commitment to integrating social responsibility into education. Future collaborations may include projects focused on environmental sustainability and social innovation.
Huawei is actively establishing partnerships with Mexican universities. The company recently renewed its collaboration with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) through the Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (ICAT), reports MBN. The partnership will continue research in cybersecurity, telecommunications, and emerging technologies, in addition to specialized training and talent development.
Huawei is also introducing new products and services. For example, Huawei's Digital Training 2.0 Solution aims to address the growing global demand for skilled ICT professionals and help universities cultivate a talent pool that can support digital transformation.
