LinkedIn has launched new AI-powered features aimed at reshaping how professionals approach job searches and career development. These innovations come at a time when AI is rapidly transforming the workforce, with nearly 70% of professionals needing to acquire new skills in the next five years to remain competitive, according to LinkedIn data. 

Traditionally, many candidates struggle with selecting the right filters or job titles, often missing relevant postings. LinkedIn’s new approach allows job seekers to express their search preferences in plain language. The AI then interprets the meaning behind the search and delivers the most relevant job listings.

LinkedIn is also introducing new hiring insights to make job listings more transparent. These insights provide key details such as a company’s typical response time, whether they are actively reviewing candidates, and if a job is promoted. With this added transparency, job seekers can apply with more confidence, knowing they have access to essential information about the companies and positions they are interested in.

LinkedIn is also enhancing its learning platform with AI-powered coaching for Premium subscribers. Users can now create personalized practice scenarios, such as interview preparations, tailored to their specific needs. The AI-driven tool offers actionable feedback on users' strengths and areas for improvement, helping them to approach job interviews with confidence.

In addition to coaching, LinkedIn is introducing "My Career Journey," a tool within LinkedIn Learning that helps professionals plan their career paths. Through this feature, users can outline their career aspirations and receive a customized learning plan. They can also explore career paths taken by individuals in similar roles and gain insights into the skills required for future opportunities.

With over 10% of job titles today not existing just a few decades ago, LinkedIn’s innovations are designed to help professionals adapt to the rapid changes occurring in the workforce.
