Ricoh is launching Ricoh Workplace Security, a solution that integrates physical and digital infrastructure to support secure, hybrid work environments. The system combines high-definition IP surveillance cameras with advanced analytics, biometric access controls, intrusion sensors, and real-time monitoring stations. These tools are supported by secure network infrastructure and cloud-based platforms, allowing for centralized oversight and regulatory compliance.

The launch comes at a time when companies in Latin America are under growing pressure to modernize their work environments. Economic growth in the region has averaged just 2% over the past decade, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and labor market dynamics are shifting rapidly. In this context, workplace design has emerged as a strategic lever for improving productivity, adapting to hybrid models, and accelerating digital transformation.

Deloitte’s 2025 Global Human Capital Trends report found that while organizations invest in new technologies to improve speed and reduce costs, they increasingly aim to generate shared value between humans and machines, foster innovation, and improve employee well-being.

Ricoh’s strategy includes real-time data decision-making through edge computing, tools for hybrid collaboration, automation to boost operational efficiency, and cybersecurity systems tailored to distributed workforces.

"Today’s companies face the challenge of redesigning their workspaces to meet a new reality: more demanding employees, complex hybrid models, and constant pressure to increase productivity," says Diego Imperio, President and CEO, Ricoh LATAM. "Workplace transformation is no longer optional — it is a strategic decision directly tied to talent well-being, operational efficiency, and business competitiveness."

Ricoh Workplace Security provides an integrated platform where technology, safety, and user experience converge. The solution enables companies to manage both physical and digital assets across hybrid environments, supported by AI, Internet of Things (IoT), and automation.
