Q: How has Cornerstone OnDemand's role in Latin America evolved as organizations shift from traditional HR management toward emerging talent models?

A: We have moved from solving isolated HR problems to enabling full workforce transformation. The conversation with our clients is no longer about fixing a single pain point in recruiting or training; it is about integrating end-to-end people processes and delivering unified experiences, always with the individual at the center. Technology, AI, and skills-based models are the enablers. Strategic agility is the goal.

Q: What differentiates Cornerstone OnDemand in an increasingly crowded market of AI-driven talent platforms?

A: We have done one thing for over 25 years: people management. That singular focus has allowed us to build something most competitors cannot replicate: a truly unified platform where AI is not an add-on, but the core engine. We serve over 7,000 clients and 140 million users across industries and geographies, which means our AI models are trained on richer, more diverse data than virtually anyone else in the market. The result is more accurate recommendations, better experiences, and measurably stronger outcomes. Other platforms have multiple purposes. We have one.

Q: You emphasize workforce agility as a core value proposition. How is that translating into measurable ROI for organizations in Latin America?

A: Agility is not abstract; it is the capacity to move when the market demands it. If people's skills are not aligned with where the business needs to go, one will lose time and miss opportunities. We close that gap in real time.

What organizations often resist acknowledging is that workforce readiness has a direct impact on revenue, not just productivity. A customer-facing employee who lacks the communication or critical thinking skills to serve a client well is a lost sale. Beyond revenue, we reduce time-to-productivity for new hires, lower turnover by giving people a clear development path, and help organizations build better leaders, which remains one of the most neglected and highest-leverage investments any company can make.

Q: What are the main challenges Mexican companies face when adopting integrated talent management solutions?

A: Two challenges stand out. First, HR leaders themselves need to close a significant capability gap. People management must become a strategic function, and that requires leaders who can work with data, adopt technology, and connect talent decisions to business outcomes. That readiness is not yet where it needs to be. Second, most organizations lack basic skill visibility. They do not have an accurate picture of what capabilities their workforce holds today. Without that foundation, it is impossible to design a credible transformation strategy. Decisions in HR can no longer be made on intuition; they require real-time data.

The broader context makes this urgent: a recent McKinsey study projects that 800 million jobs globally will disappear within four years, with the vast majority of remaining roles fundamentally transformed by technology. The organizations building that visibility now will be the ones ready to respond.

Q: What are the most critical skills gaps you observe, and how does AI reshape which capabilities matter most?

A: The most consistent gap is in soft skills, and that holds at every level of the organization. An internal study at Google found that the capabilities most responsible for its success were not technical: they were communication, adaptability, resilience, and strategic thinking. The World Economic Forum has reached the same conclusion: soft skills are growing in relevance precisely because technical skills are becoming easier to acquire. AI is already enabling people without coding backgrounds to build applications. The tools are democratizing. The human judgment to use them well is not.

As AI absorbs more operational work, people will be freed to focus on more strategic, relational, and creative challenges. That shift makes these distinctly human capabilities more valuable, not less. The organizations investing in them now will lead.

Q: What role is AI playing in the evolution of your platform and in how companies make talent decisions?

A: AI is the foundation, not a feature. From day one, the platform builds an intelligent profile for each person, mapping their skills against role requirements, generating personalized recommendations for learning, mentors, and development projects, and continuously updating as they grow. The system understands users and highlights what is most relevant in real time.

At the organizational level, this changes how decisions get made. Recruitment, development, performance, and succession are no longer managed in silos, as they are now interconnected. We have a client that fills over 70% of open roles through internal mobility, because it has full visibility of its talent. A systems professional finishing a digital marketing certification can be identified as an 80% match for a marketing leadership role, with a clear plan to close the remaining gap. That decision was not possible before.

The shift is fundamental: from managing people by title and department to understanding every individual with full, real-time visibility. AI is what makes that possible at scale.

Q: What are Cornerstone OnDemand's strategic priorities for Mexico in 2026?

A: We are focusing on doubling our business across Latin America in the next three years, with Mexico as our primary market. That ambition reflects a straightforward conviction: we are more relevant now than at any point in our history. The dynamics driving that relevance are clear: five generations working simultaneously, skills evolving faster than ever, and organizational structures being redesigned in real time. Our priority is to expand the talent conversation beyond the HR function.

AI now allows us to deliver workforce intelligence that is meaningful to CEOs, CFOs, and operational leaders, enabling them to see what skills the organization holds, what it needs to execute its strategy, and how quickly gaps can be closed. Those are questions business leaders have always wanted answered. We can now answer them.

At the heart of everything we do is a belief in the unlimited potential of people. Technology operates in service of that potential, not the other way around. The companies that embrace this model will adapt faster, retain better, and be built to last.
