The modern corporate culture is changing as employees increasingly demand more than job security, decent compensation and tangible opportunities. Now, employees also want to feel invested in the work they do and they want to see that their employer is invested in the same things they value, calling for a reformulation of the strategies to retain talent and continue growing.

These emerging trends will require a new strategy that integrates values and goals so employees can feel valued, feel a sense of belonging among caring and trusted colleagues, see the potential to grow and have the flexibility to integrate work with their personal lives. Under these circumstances, leadership has taken an even more important role in keeping employees motivated while they focus on productivity.

To attract and retain talent, employers are keen to improve company culture to address the employees’ wellbeing. However, companies also have to deal with compliance with novel reforms to outsourcing and subcontracting and the new mental health provisions introduced in NOM-035.

The most pressing trends of talent management will be discussed during the Mexico Talent Forum. The event will also cover the long-term opportunities of this sector such as digitized HR functions, AI-based recruitment or salary on demand, demonstrating that tech and innovation are helping both employees and employers.

Mexico Talent Forum, now hosted on Zoom, will break geographical barriers and welcome global industry leaders to discuss the most pressing labor trends, while simultaneously minimizing COVID-19 related risks or possible outbreaks. The event is organized by Mexico Business, which hosts conferences on Mexico’s most important industries and in 2021 welcomed 2,136 industry-shaping companies and 758 speakers to 13 industry-leading conferences.
