Organizations that want to preserve their strategic value and leverage their future strengths will undoubtedly need to revolutionize the way they manage and operate their IT systems through the superpower of cloud computing. But why is this technology so essential, and how can we gain an advantage with it?

First, the adoption of this indispensable technology drastically changes the morphology of IT resources, reducing costs, making the use of information more efficient, streamlining administration, and standardizing the way of operating from any location. In addition, all these advantages together offer a competitive improvement in productivity and organizational collaboration by accelerating projects or new product introductions.

In fact, there is enough evidence of how cloud computing revolutionized companies in 2022, as 95% of the digital initiatives in the world focused on cloud storage, consolidating as one of the most developed technology strategies, according to Power Data.

Therefore, it is not surprising that by 2023, the cloud will be a top digital trend for companies, with  expected growth of adoption in the public and private sectors. This evolution has been so great that by the end of the year, the investment in this technology will grow up to 45% in Latin America and about 50% of the technological investment of companies will be related to cloud computing, according to data from Google Cloud.

One of the keys to the survival and adaptability of organizations is the value of collaboration that drives comprehensive progress within the industry, facilitating the path of technological transformation for all. In the case of Mexico, which ranks fourth for the largest deployment of cloud services in the Americas, according to Global Data, collaborations are emerging, as in the case of Intel and Vmware, a software company specializing in virtualization and cloud computing, which has accelerated business satisfaction by modernizing workloads in the country.

These advantages do not stop with benefits like operational efficiency, but also permeate the field of security to protect assets, such as information and systems, mitigating cyberattacks with data encryption and real-time threat monitoring. Also, users can access their applications from anywhere, reducing the risk of data loss due to theft or natural disasters, as it is stored on secure servers rather than on local devices.

A powerful symbol of this change is the possibility of empowering organizations with the use of processors specifically designed to accelerate workloads that demand specific technologies, such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, networking, security, storage and high-performance computing, as is the case of Intel's latest fourth-generation Xeon scalable processors and other hardware-focused solutions currently present in the industry, which underpin the development of cloud technology.

This type of technological merit not only makes processes more convenient, but also fills with virtue the industries that apply modern technologies that improve energy efficiency and security features, which are indispensable characteristics for a sustainable future. Therefore, implementing the best tools is not only a matter of acquiring a new part or product for business, but it is a matter of routing the force of progress that surpasses current limits every day.

That’s why technological innovation must always keep an eye on the future and seize opportunities as soon as possible, hand in hand with other tools to empower any operation. An example of these major trends is that from 2023 onward we will see an important rise of the as-a-service business processes and models that will drive autonomous systems, cloud-based control systems assisted by artificial intelligence (AI), software-defined functions and data-driven decision-making, according to IDC data.

Efficient decision-making is a priority for any organization, since the amount of data is growing daily and its proper use allows making the best decisions if it is well analyzed and managed. Therefore, cloud computing can be a valuable tool for business decision-making due to the ease of access to data and the ability to process and analyze data hand in hand with technologies like  AI.

Thus, all the evidence points to the fact that tomorrow's challenges will require flexible solutions.  Without any doubt, cloud computing can help to guide the operations of companies with a more strategic and intelligent approach and provide them with the ability to quickly respond and to meet the demands that lie ahead. The use and implementation of cloud computing is a seed that will ensure the growth and value of any organization in the journey of the commercial and technological revolution.

Having said all the above, we should be aware of how human activities are now strongly related to connectivity, which is the main vein through which technological development that empowers the power of data runs. Not only that, but this essential technology helps to keep alive and in constant development the social innovation that has cleared industrial processes to provide better technological ecosystems that benefit human life in all its aspects. That is why talking about cloud computing is relevant for both companies and individuals, as this helps to optimize resources and needs that benefit the flow of business activities and people's daily lives.

Developments, such as those in security, maintenance and efficiency, eliminate the most common frictions to give priority and space to better solutions that anticipate a better future that is reflected in the improvement of technological and business infrastructures. This ultimately results in smarter and more efficient human progress. For all this, it is necessary to maintain the inspiration that has allowed us until today to overcome the most complex global challenges.
