Q: Hillstone Networks entered the Mexican market relatively late. How has this impacted its market capture and brand awareness efforts?

A: Although Hillstone Networks entered Mexico after the initial boom for the country’s cybersecurity market, the business community has an unsatiated appetite for cybersecurity solutions and is constantly exploring new proposals. As a new market player, Mexican business leaders have received us with interest, through which we have been able to secure Hillstone’s accelerated adoption, acceptance, and growth, based largely on our technology and our efficient delivery times. We aim to democratize cybersecurity by making it accessible to organizations of all sizes in Mexico and eventually throughout Latin America.

Q: How has Hillstone Networks differentiated itself from other cybersecurity solutions in the Mexican market?

A: Since the inception of Hillstone Networks in 2006, its founders have preemptively anticipated the importance of artificial intelligence and multicore processing for the development of agile, effective and resilient cybersecurity controls. The last element is crucial to ensuring cybersecurity innovation before a proliferating threat landscape.

Consequently, our approach is based on complete end-to-end visibility as needed to track, gather intelligence and understand the behavior of malicious system anomalies so they can be uprooted before cybercriminals have the opportunity to take advantage of them. This capacity, combined with AI, helps our clients to progressively build up their cybersecurity resilience as it encounters threats and learns to defend itself. We help cybersecurity experts automate and orchestrate both preventive and interventionist cybersecurity responses to mitigate risks. Altogether, this has helped Hillstone Networks achieve an organic market penetration that has encouraged us to pursue a more aggressive expansion strategy in Mexico.

Q: Does Hillstone have ambitions to integrate Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions to its Zero Trust Network Access?

A: Yes, organizations do not have enough manpower to have someone sitting before a monitor around-the-clock to assess all events in real time. This problem is driving organizations to resort to automated cybersecurity solutions for sustained protection, elevating the relevance of XDR solutions, such as Hillstone’s iSource. This solution enables clients to consolidate all cybersecurity solutions in one dashboard for complete visibility throughout their digital infrastructure. It allows organizations to monitor their cybersecurity health through the real-time analysis of events through both the independent and collective lens of its various cybersecurity solutions.

iSource effectively correlates suspicious events across our clients’ digital infrastructure to determine whether a cybersecurity attack is taking place. Subsequently, our XDR solution enables organizations to orchestrate and automate these playbook solutions in unison for a more comprehensive approach to threats.

Q: What opportunities and incoming trends will Hillstone Networks be exploring in Mexico and Latin America in 2023?

A: Our presence in Latin America is fairly robust and we look forward to the potential market capture represented by the accelerated growth of its emerging economies. Accordingly, we are tackling all economic verticals, including business, education, health and government.
