ARZYZ Launches Textile Classroom in Zuazua to Empower Women

Aluminum supplier ARZYZ, in partnership with Nuevo Leon’s Ministry of Equality and Inclusion and Altitud, inaugurated a new textile classroom at the General Zuazua Community Center to promote women’s professional development, employability, and entrepreneurship. The initiative, led by Martha Herrera, head of the Ministry, seeks to strengthen local communities and promote gender equity through skills training and inclusive economic opportunities.

Equipped with professional textile machinery provided by ARZYZ, the space will serve as a hands-on learning center for women of all ages, particularly those who are caregivers or seek to develop new sources of income close to home. 

“This textile classroom is more than a physical space; it is a platform for empowerment and community transformation,” Herrera said during the event. “Through collaboration between government, business, and civil society, we can generate real and lasting social impact.”

The project’s long-term goals focus on three key areas:

• Strengthening communities through accessible and inclusive spaces that promote gender equality.
   

• Closing the employability gap for women by creating job opportunities near their homes.
   

• Developing textile skills to foster entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
   

The ARZYZ–Altitud Textile Classroom stands as a model of social innovation and shared responsibility, demonstrating how strategic alliances between the public and private sectors can drive inclusive growth and long-term community well-being in Nuevo Leon.
