Eleva Park has officially begun operations in the municipality of Tarímbaro, marking a new milestone in Michoacan’s industrial development. The industrial park opened with six completed industrial buildings and tenants already operating, including global logistics and manufacturing companies.

A Strategic Industrial Hub Takes Shape

The launch of Eleva Park positions Tarimbaro as a growing logistics and industrial node within central-western Mexico. Its location between Tarimbaro and the state capital, Morelia, provides direct access to key transportation corridors, reinforcing the park’s role in supply chain and distribution activities.

Currently, companies operating at Eleva Park include Amazon, La Violeta and Conti. Together, these firms generate approximately 2,500 jobs. The park benefits from proximity to the Occidente Highway and the General Francisco J. Mujica International Airport in Morelia, offering strong road and air connectivity for domestic and international operations.

Integration Into Michoacan’s Industrial Corridor

Beyond its immediate footprint, Eleva Park forms part of a broader industrial corridor being developed across Michoacán. During the inauguration ceremony, officials highlighted its connection to other strategic projects, including Merza’s logistics center in Álvaro Obregón and Parque Bajío in Zinapécuaro.

This regional integration lays the groundwork for future expansion. A second stage of Eleva Park is planned for Zinapécuaro, aligning with a coordinated strategy to attract industrial investment and distribute economic activity across multiple municipalities.

Expansion Plans Through 2027

Looking ahead, Eleva Park’s developers project significant growth over the next two years. By 2027, the complex is expected to host 35 additional business operations, generating more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs linked to new industrial and logistics facilities.

These projections are tied to the construction of new infrastructure within the park, supporting a diversified mix of tenants and reinforcing Michoacán’s appeal to national and international investors.

AAA Infrastructure to Attract Large-Scale Investment

Eleva Park is designed under an AAA industrial model, featuring multiuse warehouses, guaranteed utilities and a 30-megawatt electrical substation. These characteristics aim to raise the state’s competitiveness and meet the operational needs of large-scale industrial and logistics companies.

Eduardo Ramírez, CEO, Grupo Citelis, said upcoming operations by companies such as AAK, Irexa, Oxxo, Bardahl and Mercado Libre could generate an estimated economic spillover of MX$947 million, largely directed toward infrastructure development and industrial construction.

Highways Modernization Strengthens Investment Climate

The launch of Eleva Park coincides with a broader push to modernize Michoacan’s transportation infrastructure. Mexico’s Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) plans to invest more than MX$24.8 billion pesos as part of the federal government’s Plan Michoacán, with highways serving as a central pillar of economic development, reported MBN

Over the next four years, the program will modernize 256km of federal highways, improve regional connectivity and enhance road safety, facilitating the movement of goods and people across strategic industrial zones.

Key Road Projects Already Underway

Several highway projects are already advancing. The Patzcuaro–Uruapan highway, covering 50km, is nearing completion following an investment of nearly MX$1.79 billion and is scheduled to be finished in February 2026.

Work also continues on the 60km Uruapan–Nueva Italia corridor, which has received MX$7.05 billion and is expected to be completed by December. In addition, modernization of the Lazaro Cardenas–Nueva Italia highway will begin under a MX$16 billion, four-year, three-phase plan covering 146km.

Once completed, the projects are expected to benefit municipalities including Morelia, Patzcuaro, Uruapan, Nueva Italia, Arteaga and Lazaro Cardenas, reducing travel times, improving safety and strengthening regional integration.
