US-based medical device company Insulet Corporation has officially inaugurated its Global Capability Center in Guadalajara, marking a major investment in Mexico’s growing technology ecosystem.

According to Cindy Blanco, Jalisco’s Minister of Economic Development, the decision to locate in Guadalajara strengthens the state’s position as a strategic destination for innovation and global talent. “With a US$30 million investment and the creation of 1,000 high-level jobs, Insulet reinforces Jalisco’s leadership in high-value sectors,” she said.

The new facility, located in the Midtown Corporate Tower, will generate specialized jobs in key areas such as customer service, finance, IT, supply chain, software development and advanced technologies.

State officials described Insulet’s arrival as a milestone for Jalisco’s innovation-driven economy. “The arrival of Insulet reaffirms that Jalisco is Mexico’s economic oasis, thanks to its high-tech ecosystem and highly skilled bilingual talent,” local authorities said during the ceremony.

Guadalajara was selected over other cities in Mexico and Latin America, reflecting its growing reputation as a hub for foreign direct investment (FDI) in high-tech industries.

With this expansion, Insulet joins a network of global companies that have chosen Jalisco to scale operations, innovate and connect with international markets.
