Investment Advantages, US-Mexico Chamber Of Commerce
Nuevo Leon Gov. Samuel García met with members of the United States–Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter, in New York as part of efforts to strengthen foreign investment ties and expand international trade links for the northern Mexican state.
Accompanied by Chamber President Enrique Pérez-Grovas, García highlighted Nuevo Leon’s national leadership and the strategies positioning the state as a key hub for international commerce. He emphasized its growing role in cross-border trade and logistics amid increasing interest from global investors.
During the working session, García participated in an open dialogue with representatives from chamber member companies, including Milbank, Santander, Citibank and Goldman Sachs, discussing investment opportunities and regional competitiveness.
Speaking at the chamber’s New York offices, the governor said Nuevo Leon offers a strategic location for companies seeking access to Texas through the Colombia Solidarity Bridge customs crossing, which he described as a leading option for import and export operations.
García also underscored security measures implemented in the area, noting that special operations by the state security force, Fuerza Civil, have positioned the corridor as one of the safest routes for commercial transit.
The meeting forms part of Nuevo Leon’s broader strategy to strengthen regional competitiveness through partnerships that promote trade exchange, attract foreign investment and support business development between Mexico and the United States.
Nuevo Leon Strengthens Economic Leadership with 3.8% Growth
The state’s strategic border location, export-driven manufacturing base and concentration of global companies have reinforced its role as a leading logistics and production hub. Public investment in infrastructure, energy capacity and efficiency, along with regulatory digitalization and workforce development, has strengthened competitiveness. This momentum will be highlighted at Expo Manufactura 2026, which will focus on automation, robotics and Industry 4.0 as key drivers of future industrial growth.
Nuevo Leon outperformed the national economy in 2025, posting 3.8% growth and accounting for nearly 20% of new jobs in Mexico, supported by near-full employment and strong industrial investment, reported MBN.
Nuevo Leon’s industrial momentum will be showcased at Expo Manufactura 2026, one of Mexico’s most important manufacturing trade shows, scheduled for Feb. 3–5, 2026, at Cintermex in Monterrey.
The 30th edition of the event will focus on automation, robotics, additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0 under the theme “Connecting The Manufacturing Industry With The Future.” Organizers expect national and international manufacturers, technology developers and industry specialists to participate.
The exhibition will cover more than 30,000 square meters and include specialized areas dedicated to advanced automation, collaborative robotics and digital manufacturing solutions designed to improve efficiency, reduce costs and boost productivity.
A key feature will be the Expo Manufactura Hub, created to strengthen connections between industry leaders and strategic partners, foster collaboration and support new projects and business alliances beyond the event itself.
