Taiwan’s Sinbon Electronics Opens Plant in San Luis Potosi
Taiwan-based Sinbon Electronics has inaugurated a US$27 million plant in Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi, a move expected to create 700 direct jobs and to strengthen the state’s role as a hub for global industry. The facility will produce cable harnesses and interconnection systems for clients in the automotive, medical and green energy sectors across the Americas, meeting strict international quality standards. Company officials said the investment expands Sinbon’s global manufacturing network and boosts its technological competitiveness.
At the ceremony, attendees included Sinbon CEO Joseph Wang, Vice President Joy Wu, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Mexico Iván Lee, and San Luis Potosi Economic Development Secretary Jesús Salvador González Martínez, representing the state government. All emphasized the project’s potential to spur job creation and technology transfer in the region.
