Aeroméxico holds the title of the world's most punctual airline, leading the global rankings in Cirium's latest monthly report for February. The Mexican carrier achieved an On-Time Performance (OTP) of 90.66%, surpassing competitors such as Delta and Iberia.

Out of a total of 15,206 flights, Aeroméxico outshone others, marking a significant improvement from January's performance of 78.13%. "Aeroméxico was the leading airline and the most improved in February, with an OTP of 90.66%, an increase of 12.5 points in OTP compared to January's performance”, Cirium highlighted.

Delta secured the second position with an OTP of 89.27%, demonstrating a nearly 10-point improvement from the previous month. Meanwhile, Iberia claimed the third spot with an OTP of 88.08%, reflecting an increase of almost 7 points.

United Airlines and Azul secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, with OTPs of 84.91% and 84.83%, as per Cirium's rankings.

"I am delighted to share that in February, according to Cirium's monthly measurements, we positioned ourselves as the world's most punctual airline. Achieving the top spot globally is truly inspiring”, said Andrés Conesa, Director General, Aeroméxico.

The airline achieved a 99.78% compliance with its planned flights, with 91.69% of departures and 90.66% of arrivals adhering to the schedule. Conesa attributed this success to the dedicated efforts of the industry's top talent.

From 75.65% punctuality in December, the airline reached 78.13% in January and now stands at 90.66% in February.

The global scenario witnessed a decline of 7% in the total number of flight cancellations in European airlines in February. Latin America experienced a substantial 35% reduction in flight cancellations, dropping from 4,452 in January to 2,938 in February. Additionally, the Asia-Pacific region saw a notable 21% decrease in flight cancellations compared to January.
