In an endeavor to promote sustainable practices and mitigate environmental impact, 250 companies have joined Queretaro’s Circular Economy System, showcasing the commitment of the Queretaro Automotive Cluster in spearheading this transformation.

The significance of these initiatives lies in reshaping industrial processes to reduce CO2 emissions, minimize waste, and optimize water usage, aligning with the sector's sustainability requirements. Sixty percent of the cluster’s companies are immersed in active chains of the circular economy system, adopting concrete measures to reduce their environmental footprint.

Advancing into its third phase, Queretaro’s Circular Economy System is activating four new chains with an additional projection of four more by the end of 2024, with an average participation of 15 companies in each. The system aims to develop capacities to drive clean production, optimize processes, reduce costs, and prevent waste through circularity initiatives such as recycling, eco-design, and product exchange.

Looking ahead, by 2027 the initiative aims to consolidate the participation of 1,000 companies, committed to implementing circular economy practices, laying the groundwork for a more sustainable and environmentally responsible industrial development.
