Q: How has Edenred's value proposition evolved over time and what factors have driven these changes?
A: Edenred has been present in Mexico for over 40 years, offering a wide range of solutions in three major business lines: Fleet and Mobility, Pay and Benefits.

Our Fleet and Mobility division offers three distinct solutions. First is Ticket Card, soon to be refreshed and rebranded, which provides electronic wallets for efficient management of fuel expenses. This solution ensures control and security, while providing specialized reports for optimizing vehicle fleet operations. The Ticket Card platform stands out for its unparalleled security, flexibility and personalized features, enabling quick and efficient fuel provision. Moreover, it offers a comprehensive operational overview to evaluate vehicle efficiency, providing clear visibility into refueling activities. We proudly boast the most extensive network of gas station groups in Mexico.

The second part of our mobility business is the first-of-its-kind sticker tag in Mexico for paying tolls. This innovative device, Drive Tag, introduced in collaboration with Edenred and TeleVía, allows seamless payment for both tolls and fuel, streamlining operations and generating cost savings. Our primary target market for this solution comprises companies with vehicle fleets. The third branch of our services, which we are just starting, focuses on maintenance. Through our extensive network of workshops, we can be the intermediary that allows companies to concentrate on their core business while entrusting us with their fleet management and maintenance requirements.

In addition, we have the "Move for Good" initiative that aims to minimize our clients¨ carbon footprint. Through this program, we actively contribute to environmental sustainability by promoting eco-friendly practices and solutions.

Q: You have been recently appointed as the Director General of Fleet and Mobility. What are your immediate goals and priorities?
A: Digital transformation is our top priority. Furthermore, we are highly focused on supporting our clients in adopting strategies that enable them to make their operations more sustainable. My main focus is to inspire my team with passion, driving the transformation of the business and ensuring that each individual understands their purpose and the expectations placed upon them. It is of utmost importance that every employee feels equally valued and recognized for their contributions. All of this while delivering on our operational and financial goals.

Q: How does Edenred manage its relationship with service shops to offer a time and cost-effective operation?
A: Before affiliating a new workshop, we conduct a detailed diagnosis to thoroughly assess their offer. We have a comprehensive understanding of our clients' needs, which enables us to approach workshops and subject them to rigorous examinations. Our goal is to ensure they meet all the necessary criteria to provide the quality and reliability our clients expect. Moreover, we strive to offer our clients conveniently located workshops. We also implement regular quality audits to ensure that these workshops consistently adhere to the required standards.

As this project is in its early stages, we are constantly learning and adapting. Fortunately, we have earned the trust of several clients with large and geographically dispersed fleets across the country. This presents a significant challenge for us but allows us to validate and refine our business model. At Edenred, we pride ourselves on being accountable and responsive, not only when everything is going smoothly but also when challenges arise.

Q: How will electrification impact Edenred's service offering?
A: Mexico is still in the early stages of electrification but the country is starting to see an increase in electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as the emergence of charging stations. However, there is still some defintiions to be made and adopted. We are conducting a centralized analysis with our headquarters in Paris to evaluate the next steps for Edenred in the electric vehicle and cleaner mobility sector.

One of our strategic objectives is to minimize both our own carbon footprint and that of our clients. We have ambitious goals to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. We are highly motivated to be part of this new reality but, commercially speaking, the industry is still in its early stages, especially when it comes to electric cargo vehicles for logistics in Mexico. The regulation and lack of incentives in Mexico must be addressed to address the uncertainty regarding the country's energy strategy. We are evaluating the situation to determine when and how we should enter this market.

Q: What are the particularities of the Mexican market in terms of fleet management?
A: In Mexico, inflation is impacting the costs of products and services, indirectly affecting company fleets. Thus, it is crucial to monitor fuel prices constantly and assess cost-saving fleet vehicles.

Mexico is also experiencing an influx of foreign companies. This has prompted the industrial sector, which is reliant on operational vehicle fleets, to focus on effective management strategies that can respond to the market, while differentiating themselves from their competitors. Insecurity in certain parts of the country can also pose risks to both drivers and vehicles. It is essential to have tools in place that protect individuals and prevent the misuse of resources.

Q: How does Edenred stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate these insights into its solutions and services?
A: We have a dedicated team that keeps us updated on the latest developments in Mexico and abroad. Our global Business Intelligence team thoroughly analyzes global trends and diverse industries. In Mexico, we have a specialized Business Excellence team that constantly monitors our operations, working collaboratively to identify areas for improvement and capitalize on new business opportunities. This proactive approach enables us to evaluate future prospects and adapt effectively to emerging circumstances.

Q: What are the key aspects of Edenred’s Beyond 22-25 Strategy?
A: Through “Beyond 22-25," Edenred aims to become a comprehensive support platform for companies and their employees. Building on the success of our previous global strategies:  "Fast Forward" and "New Frontier," Edenred has been actively diversifying its solution portfolio and establishing itself as a leader in digital platform creation. The "Beyond 23-26" plan further strengthens our market position and expands our reach to potential clients. The strategy is built upon three key pillars: Beyond Food, which extends employee benefits beyond meal vouchers; Beyond Fuel, which aims to guide fleets through the energy transition by providing essential services beyond fuel vouchers; and Beyond Payment, offering integrated solutions for corporate payment automation. Through this plan, Edenred seeks to offer complementary digital services to its B2B2C-focused clients, particularly in the sectors of food, fuel and payment.

This strategic initiative not only focuses on growth within existing markets but also envisions expansion into new countries and industries. These new opportunities will fuel the growth of the Beyond Food, Beyond Fuel and Beyond Payment strategies, attracting new clients and users to the platform.

Edenred is a leading digital platform for services and payments that connects 52 million users and 2 million merchants in 45 countries. It offers specific solutions for food, incentives, mobility and corporate payments.
