Great Place To Work, a global authority on work cultures, has announced its 2024 list of “The Best Places to Work™ in Mexico for Women,” showcasing 100 organizations committed to fostering inclusivity and trust. This recognition will serve to strengthen their organizational reputation, enhance employee quality of life, promote financial security, and job satisfaction.

This announcement, made on March 14, impacts over 204,478 employees across diverse sectors nationwide. Notable recipients include companies such as Polaris Sales México, TMF GROUP MEXICO, ENKI, and others in the Transportation, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Financial Services, and Professional Services industries.

Great Place To Work utilized its For ALL algorithm in its selection process, prioritizing satisfaction for all employees regardless of hierarchy, gender, age, or contract type. This algorithm identified workplaces where female staff reported high satisfaction levels across various aspects, including job responsibilities, work-life balance, opportunities for growth, compensation and benefits, workplace culture, and relationships with colleagues and superiors.

Organizations featured on the list achieved an impressive average favorability rating of 91%, surpassing those excluded, which averaged at 81%. This comprehensive rating encompassed key factors such as credibility, respect, impartiality, pride, and companionship. Notably, within recognized organizations, 93% of women expressed a strong desire for long-term careers, reflecting a profound sense of belonging and satisfaction. Additionally, 91% stated they would recommend their organization to others, indicating high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

According to the EWGroup, fostering a workplace culture built on dignity and respect is crucial for ensuring that every employee feels valued and secure, while also establishing a zero-tolerance policy against harassment and discrimination. This approach brings tangible benefits to organizations, such as increased innovation and productivity.

Similarly, bodily safety took precedence in the GPTW list, with 95% of employees feeling physically secure in the workplace. The dedication to fair and non-discriminatory treatment garnered a favorability rating of 96%, underscoring an environment where individuals felt empowered to authentically express themselves.

As highlighted in an article by Mexico Business News, this psychological safety extends to feeling confident in voicing ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes without fear of reprisal or embarrassment. Within this context, it fosters a mutual understanding among team members, ensuring they can freely share ideas, take risks, and seek feedback without facing judgment or punishment.

"When [women] feel psychologically safe in the organization—able to share ideas, questions, concerns—the company is more agile. We have seen through our research on psychological safety that when people question their every move, when people are not sure if they should raise questions, initiatives and programs roll out very slowly," explains Julian Lute, Senior Manager, Great Place To Work.
