Q: What strategies has Bolloré Logistics developed to reduce carbon emissions through the development of sustainable fuel in maritime, air, and land freight transport?

A: Sustainability is a fundamental aspect for Bolloré Logistics. Despite holding the EcoVadis certification, we recognize the importance of setting our own sustainability goals. We have the necessary tools to collaborate closely with our clients, providing them with information on their CO2 emissions and offering concrete solutions to reduce them. In Mexico, we observe a greater commitment from clients who have already set their own sustainability goals. In response to this, we strive to support them by integrating sustainable aspects into all our transport offers.

We focus on various sustainable strategies, such as the use of alternative fuels, packaging optimization, and logistics efficiency. We employ electric vehicles as well as vehicles running on biofuels for local distribution in regions like the United States and the European Union. We establish long-term partnerships, recognizing that the reduction of CO2 emissions is a gradual process that requires continuous and collaborative efforts.

Q: What role does Bolloré Logistics play in Mexico's aerospace industry?

A: Bolloré Logistics has maintained a strong presence in Mexico for the past 25 years. The company has distinguished itself through specialization in markets. From the beginning, we have focused on serving clients in the aerospace industry, expanding our client portfolio not only in Mexico but also globally each year.

We offer our clients a comprehensive range of transportation services, covering maritime, air, and land transport, always prioritizing sustainability. Our aerospace operation in Queretaro is a testament to the region's growth and development in recent years. We also have noted a significant increase in interest from clients in other states, such as Chihuahua, which has experienced notable development.

Q: What strategies has Bolloré Logistics developed to handle the increase in demand caused by nearshoring?

A: Bolloré Logistics has expanded its resources to meet the growing demands of clients and strengthen its market presence. We have extended our territorial coverage and now include strategic areas such as Baja California and Chihuahua. We recognize the importance of being present and visible to our clients, so we constantly strive to maintain a close connection with them.

We also make efforts to broaden our service portfolio, aiming to offer more comprehensive solutions tailored to the needs of each client. Our expansion is not limited to geographical territories; it also focuses on strengthening the connection with our clients to ensure an effective presence in the market.

Q: How will Bolloré Logistics be affected by its recent acquisition by the CMA CGM Group?

A: The acquisition by CMA CGM has been effective since March 1, and Bolloré Logistics sees this change as a strategic opportunity for growth. Our goal is to position ourselves as one of the leading freight forwarders in the country by leveraging the expansion of our service portfolio. The robust and extensive presence of CMA CGM and of CEVA Logistics in Mexico is a significant advantage, especially during nearshoring, allowing us to be closer to our clients, identify their needs, and provide better solutions.

The incorporation of a stronger network will also bolster our position in the market, providing us with a broader range of services. This collaboration will be an advantage for Bolloré Logistics in Mexico, granting us greater capacity and enabling us to offer a more extensive array of services to our clients. The new logistics division of groupCMA CGM will allow us to more effectively integrate the entire supply chain and contribute to our expansion in the region. We will continue to invest as a group to sustain our growth and deliver high-quality services to our clients.

Q: What challenges does Bolloré Logistics face in its operations in Mexico?

A: The challenges Bolloré Logistics faces in Mexico revolve around infrastructure and security issues. As the country attracts a growing number of investments, nearshoring becomes a governmental priority. Ensuring adequate infrastructure for goods transportation and addressing security concerns becomes essential.

An additional obstacle lies in the shortage of drivers, as many opt to work in other countries due to more favorable conditions. The key is strategic investment in infrastructure and security to create a conducive environment for goods transportation. Furthermore, it is crucial to attract businesses to Mexico, not only in the northern region but throughout the country, leveraging the available skilled workforce and technical expertise. The response to these challenges involves strategic planning at both the governmental and business levels.

Q: What are Bolloré Logistics' objectives for 2024?

A: Bolloré Logistics' objectives are clear and aim for continuous growth and development in various key industries such as aerospace, automotive, luxury, and pharmaceuticals. Our strategy includes significant investments in capabilities, especially in areas like automation and operational systems. The company is committed to strengthening its presence in these sectors through the implementation of advanced technologies and innovative approaches to remain a leader in the market.
