GrubMarket Buys Delta Fresh to Expand Produce Network

GrubMarket has acquired Delta Fresh Produce, an Arizona-based distributor specializing in Mexican-sourced fresh produce, as part of its strategy to strengthen its cross-border supply chain and year-round produce offerings.

The acquisition brings Delta Fresh’s large-scale farming and distribution network into GrubMarket’s portfolio. Delta Fresh oversees over 900 acres of open-field farming and 1,400 acres of indoor production in regions including Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa and Central Mexico. The company operates multiple state-of-the-art packing facilities and maintains relationships with growers across Mexico, enabling consistent year-round supply.

Delta Fresh’s customer base includes major grocery retailers such as Walmart and Kroger, national restaurant chains like Chipotle, Subway, and In-N-Out Burger, and food distributors including Sysco and Associated Wholesale Grocers.

As part of the acquisition, Delta Fresh will integrate GrubMarket’s proprietary AI-powered software solutions. These include WholesaleWare, a SaaS ERP platform for food industry wholesalers; GrubAssist, an AI assistant suite for supply chain operations; Orders IO, a mobile eCommerce platform; and GrubPay, a digital payments system tailored for the food supply chain. GrubMarket is one of the largest private food e-commerce companies globally and serves as a technology provider across the US food supply chain.
