Fintech Mexico, the association representing leading companies in the sector, has announced the inaugural Fintech Mexico Forum 2024, to unite leaders in financial innovation to advance the sector in the country.

In collaboration with CMS Latam, the event aims to convene over 800 leaders, regulators, authorities, and influencers from the Fintech world and the national and international financial ecosystem. Scheduled for Feb. 29 at the Papalote Museo del Niño, the forum seeks to stimulate discussions on the key themes, advancements, trends, challenges, and impact of the burgeoning industry on millions of Mexicans.

“From Fintech Mexico, we see enormous growth in the sector. Currently, we estimate that there are more than 50 million users of these services in the country. Likewise, we observe an impressive openness from authorities and regulators,” says Felipe Vallejo, President, Fintech Mexico, in a press release. “As of today, there are already 74 Fintechs regulated by the CNBV, and this is just a small sample of the potential that this industry holds.”

With over 50 confirmed sponsors, the Fintech Mexico Forum aims to foster discussions on the industry's growth trajectory and its implications. The inaugural edition features Colombia as the guest country, showcasing its remarkable increase in Fintech companies, diversified offerings, and enhanced financial inclusion.

The association works through six to promote specific actions that are of the interest of the sector. “One of them is the Open Finance Committee, through which we seek to position the importance of advancing, in line with the authorities and regulators, a regulatory framework that promotes open finance for the benefit of millions of people in Mexico, emphasizing the advantages of accessing faster, more intuitive and secure financial services,” share Fintech Mexico with MBN.

Distinguished speakers include international figures such as Saifedean Ammous, author of "The Bitcoin Standard," Jorn Lambert, Chief Digital Officer Mastercard, and Breno Andrade, VP of Latin America and Caribbean, VISA.
