Bachetón Program Reports Progress in Federal Highway Maintenance
The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) has reported significant progress in the maintenance of the Federal Toll-Free Highway Network through the Bachetón program. To date, routine maintenance has been carried out on more than 29,100km of highways, representing 66% progress nationwide.
Among the states with the most progress, Nayarit stands at 100% completed work, followed by Colima with 88%, Guerrero and Tabasco with 84%, Aguascalientes with 81%, and Jalisco and Michoacan with 80%. Other states with significant advances include Sonora (79%), Oaxaca (77%), Baja California (68%), Hidalgo (65%), and Puebla (67%). Quintana Roo lags with 34% progress.
In total, the program has addressed 187,200 potholes over an area of 828,400m2, using 133,400t of asphalt mix. To carry out these tasks, 277 crews consisting of 1,662 workers have been deployed, supported by 1,939 specialized pieces of equipment.
Meanwhile, SICT’s Periodic Maintenance Program reports an overall progress of 26.7%, with 184km of highway rehabilitated, covering an area of 1,827,800m2. For this effort, 191,600t of asphalt mix has been used, supported by 49 crews, 668 workers, and 355 pieces of equipment.
