LG Expands HVAC Solutions with New Production Line in Mexico

LG Electronics has announced the inauguration of a new scroll compressor production line at its Monterrey, Nuevo Leon factory. This expansion aims to reinforce LG's commitment to sustainability, reduce logistical challenges, and create a more efficient and shorter supply chain for customers in North America.

According to LG’s press release, the decision to establish a production line in Mexico came when several US HVAC manufacturers were dealing with escalating logistical disruptions. LG aims to mitigate the impact of logistical issues and streamline its response to regional demand by placing a production base near key North American markets. This move is expected to enhance the response to regional demand and lessen the impact of factors such as logistic issues on customers.

LG's scroll compressors are pivotal in the company's heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) components business. The Gen 3 Scroll Compressors cater to residential and commercial applications, demonstrating LG's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the HVAC industry.

As the industry anticipates the enforcement of refrigerant regulations in 2025 and the company's commitment to the environment and sustainability, these compressors are engineered with low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants, boasting GWPs less than 700, the Gen 3 Scroll Compressors surpass the eco-focused standards for refrigerants, positioning LG as a forward-thinking and environmentally responsible player in the market.

LG's commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in the design of Gen 3 Scroll Compressors. The compressors meet the anticipated 2025 refrigerant regulations and comply with the latest efficiency standards by reducing energy waste and minimizing heat loss.
