Digital freight booking and payment platform Freightos is expanding its collaboration with Forward Air Corporation (Forward), a premier ground transportation provider across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The new phase of their partnership enables freight forwarders to instantly book less-than-truckload (LTL) and linehaul trucking services via the 7LFreight by WebCargo platform.

"Freightos is building a one-stop digital infrastructure for global freight, where supply chain organizations can manage multiple legs and services of a shipment seamlessly. This expanded collaboration with Forward reflects our broader growth strategy of supporting more transaction types — air, ocean, and trucking — and more stages of each transaction, from price discovery to final-mile delivery," says Zvi Schreiber, CEO, Freightos.

This integration builds on a pre-existing rate distribution partnership and now allows digital booking of Forward’s services directly within the 7LFreight system. Forward’s expansive network includes nearly 11,000 lane pairs, over 100 facilities, and coverage of 96% of US ZIP codes — now seamlessly accessible to freight forwarders seeking door-to-door, door-to-airport, and airport-to-door transport options.

"Digitization is not optional — it is essential, because our customers move fast. This collaboration streamlines workflows for hundreds of shared customers, enabling faster, more accurate bookings through a single platform," says Melissa Feeser, Senior Vice President of Sales, Forward.

The integration not only enhances the customer experience for freight forwarders but also lays the groundwork for future innovations. Plans are underway to extend the service across the broader Freightos ecosystem, including the WebCargo platform, and to incorporate additional features such as airport cartage and digital payments. These enhancements aim to support end-to-end logistics — from international air freight to first and last-mile ground delivery — within a single, connected digital experience.

"Forward is an essential provider within the North American expedited ground landscape. We have been proud to work with them over the years and we are excited for the access that this expanded partnership brings to our forwarder customers, helping them book door to door, middle mile and last mile more efficiently,” says Brennan O'Dowd, CEO and Founder, 7LFreight by WebCargo.
