In multiple sessions held among the leaders of the economic sectors of the region, harmonized and aligned with the expertise of one important “Startup,” we agreed that our entrepreneurs and businessmen should join a digital platform, establishing it as the ally to give a forceful response to the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity present globally. We decided to transform crises into opportunities. How? By sowing, harvesting, manufacturing, producing and selling through a Strategic-Tactical Plan that is fast in its implementation and very friendly in its operation.

For me, "We are not in a Time of Change ... We are in a Change of Epoch;" therefore, the expression "The New Normality" means that we did not learn the lessons of each and every one of the vicissitudes that we have lived and survived, because now nothing will be normal, alluding to the maxim of Charles Darwin where he states that, "It is not the largest and strongest species that survive .... Only those that are best adapted to change survive.” I allow myself to declare on a personal level that we are in a different nature; therefore, I call this Change of Epoch "The New Natural."

We reached a consensus to establish an Economic Reactivation Model that would provide a forceful response to      "the new natural," which includes mitigating the effects of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) and the "Caravans of Migrants."

We established eight basic ideas of order:

Resilience, Internationalization, Financing, Entrepreneurship, Boosting Talent, Accelerating Winning Companies and Strengthening Tourism.

BUZAN MAIN 1

1
  1. Resilience

Companies and their organizations are made up of people and human beings and they know that to survive they have to be resilient; for them this is a systemic factor. Resilience runs through their veins and arteries, they are creative, innovative and disruptive companies and organizations because they have prepared for it, they have spared no resources to have the strength and flexibility to not only survive but also to prepare to adapt and recover very quickly, not only with a view to later success but also to show the way to a "better new natural."

  1. Internationalization

Of every MX$1 GDP, in Tapachula, 63 cents are generated in the tertiary sector of the economy. This is because we share a border with the Central American Corridor and because the exchange rate is on average 2.7 to 1 with respect to our currency. Besides that, the goods and services existing in our locality are of absolute quality for which from Thursday until Sunday we have visits from our brothers from Guatemala and the Central American Corridor. For us, internationalization is an imperative link in our value chain. This is the answer that also strengthens our economic reactivation.

  1. Financing

Through the line of action called financial services and products, we have been able to establish agreements with commercial banks, credit unions, fintechs and financial intermediaries that are willing to attend to credit applications and even loan restructuring if necessary. This link in our value chain was the first to be detonated.

BUZAN 4

6
  1. Enterprise

Tapachula is a tractor municipality in the region called "El Soconusco", which includes 15 municipalities. A common denominator is that its people are by nature entrepreneurs, which is why a link in our value chain for economic reactivation is to strengthen entrepreneurship initiatives with knowledge and resources. This Mind Map summarizes how we will do it.

7
  1. TALENT.

The link for the promotion of the talent of our regional MSME’s contains 11 Modules that integrate knowledge for the development of soft skills: DTx (digital transformation), branding, marketing and control, among others. The learning time is 83 hours, of which 83 percent will be online with ample schedule flexibility.

BUZAN 6

7
  1. Acceleration

For 10 companies with projects that have the greatest impact in the region, both financially and, above all, socially and environmentally.

BUZAN 7

8
  1. Tourism

Create a digital platform that promotes tourism by consolidating the tourist information of the area. This website will have the ability to accommodate the unlimited amount of offers that exist.

The use of the digital platform will be supported by tutorial videos (approximately 10 videos of 5 minutes each), in which all the processes involved will be documented.

This consensual model of "economic reactivation" is very particular to the municipality of Tapachula, which by the way, is the Gateway to the South-Southeast of Mexico. It has been made possible thanks to the active participation of the heads of accredited intermediate organizations, such as COPARMEX Costa de Chiapas, S. P., CANACINTRA Tapachula, CANACO SERVyTUR Tapachula, AMEXME Tapachula Chapter, the Association of Fruit Growers of Soconusco, A. C., the Association of Hotels and Motels of the Southern Border, the Agricultural Association of Banana Producers of Soconusco, A. C., the Agrifood Council of South South Southeast Mexico and Chiapas Chapter, the Office of the Constitutional Municipal President of Tapachula with thanks and recognition to Marcus Dantus' Startup Mexico and its Board of Directors.
