Samsung Mexico Expands Innovation Campus for Talent Training
Samsung Mexico launched the 2025 edition of Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), a program designed to strengthen the employability of university students from public institutions through training in emerging technologies and leadership capabilities.
This year, the program integrates a new strategic alliance with the National Center for Evaluation of Higher Education (CENEVAL), which will formally recognize 20 hours of soft skills training delivered as part of the curriculum. The Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM), a longstanding academic partner in the initiative, will continue to provide technical instruction in AI and issue certificates with academic credit to participants, reports Samsung.
“Samsung Innovation Campus reflects our commitment to education as a driver of inclusion and development,” says Lorena De Lima, Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility. Samsung Electronics Mexico.
The initiative targets one of the most pressing needs in the labor market: bridging the gap between academic preparation and industry demand. By offering training in both technical and human competencies, the program supports the development of job-ready talent in a context where digital transformation is reshaping workforce expectations.
With an emphasis on students from public universities, SIC aims to expand access to future-oriented skill sets, especially in underserved communities. The inclusion of CENEVAL is expected to add rigor to the soft skills component, aligning the program with national evaluation standards and enhancing participants’ professional profiles.
Samsung’s approach aligns with broader talent development strategies that prioritize blended competencies. The program offers instruction in AI, complemented by leadership modules that address communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving — skills increasingly recognized by employers as essential for high-performance teams in digital environments.
