Empowering Clients to Scale Their Digital Transformation
STORY INLINE POST
act digital aims to co-create innovative, customized, and scalable solutions that turn complex challenges into business opportunities.
Q: How has act digital positioned itself within Mexico’s technology consulting ecosystem, and what role do you play in the digital value chain of Mexican companies?
A: We entered the Mexican market in July 2024 with the goal of introducing disruptive innovation and agile methodologies. By combining global expertise with a strong local presence, we have built long-term partnerships with clients. Over the past year, our team has grown to 130 consultants, with projections to reach 200 by year-end. This growth reflects our rapid adoption in a competitive market and demonstrates that our approach, which involves addressing client challenges while fostering collaboration, resonates locally.
Q: In a market increasingly saturated with consulting firms, how does act digital differentiate itself from traditional competitors and new digital players?
A: Our differentiators are the practical application of AI, rapid adaptability to client needs, competitive pricing, and deep industry expertise. From day one, we embedded AI into internal processes such as billing, recruitment, and project delivery, which enhances efficiency and effectiveness. We extend this experience to clients, showing how AI can accelerate software development, testing, and operational processes. Our focus on sectors like financial services, automotive, mobility, manufacturing, and CPG retail allows us to deliver specialized, high-impact solutions.
Q: What are your most in-demand services and what key client needs do they address?
A: Clients primarily seek faster and more efficient software development and modernization. We provide an AI-augmented framework across the software lifecycle, which reduces project timelines and operational costs. This approach allows clients to remain agile, respond to competitive pressures, and adopt innovative methodologies with confidence.
Q: How do you measure the impact of your solutions on efficiency, scalability, and value creation for corporate clients?
A: We measure impact through comparative metrics, such as reductions in testing hours or product release cycles. For example, processes that previously required 500 person-hours can be reduced to 60 using our frameworks. We conduct structured assessments of organizational maturity and provide a step-by-step adoption roadmap. This combines technology implementation with change management, fostering cultural adaptation alongside operational improvements. Ultimately, we aim to empower clients to sustain innovation independently.
Q: What role does Mexico play within act digital’s regional strategy, and how do your operations in the country contribute to global growth?
A: Mexico is critical for us. Although we operate in 12 countries across the European Union and the Americas, we envision Mexico becoming a market comparable to our largest operation in Brazil. Our objective is to scale rapidly, replicate our disruptive methodologies, and position Mexico as a major contributor to our global growth.
Q: act digital offers a full portfolio spanning digital experience, automation, and cybersecurity. How do you integrate these services into a unified solution for clients?
A: Integration begins with our architecture team, which maps the client’s operations, objectives, and technological maturity. This allows us to design cohesive strategies linking all services, from digital experience to cloud solutions, in alignment with business goals. We offer three delivery models: end-to-end project execution, capability-building to empower internal teams, or hybrid self-managed teams. Regardless of the model, we ensure solutions flow seamlessly from initiation to implementation, maintaining consistency, efficiency, and alignment with client objectives.
Q: How do you ensure the scalability and sustainability of the digital solutions you co-create with clients, considering the technological diversity of the Latin American market?
A: Scalability is achieved by transferring ownership to the client. Initially, we provide close support, but subsequent phases focus on building internal capabilities so clients can manage and evolve solutions independently. Our methodology includes training, guided implementation, and establishing agile processes, ensuring digital initiatives become part of the client’s core operations. This approach promotes continuous improvement and fosters a culture of innovation.
Q: How does your Tech AI Hub drive the development of AI-based solutions for sectors like financial services or retail?
A: AI is embedded in our DNA; it is a core operational principle rather than a trend. Internally, we leverage AI across recruitment, accounting, sales, and project delivery. For example, AI enables rapid, scalable candidate selection, which we demonstrate to clients as a differentiator. We have developed AI accelerators that streamline operations and empower clients to build these capabilities internally, allowing them to see tangible business value.
Q: How would you assess the adoption of emerging technologies among Mexican companies?
A: Adoption in Mexico remains cautious. Many organizations are skeptical, seeing AI as a trend rather than a transformative tool. Investments are often exploratory, and proof points are critical. Our role is to demonstrate tangible success through real examples, providing measurable outcomes and methodologies. Companies proceed deliberately, validating results before scaling initiatives.
Regionally, Mexico lags behind Brazil in technology adoption, particularly in banking and financial services. Globally, Mexico still trails first-world countries, but the pandemic accelerated digital exploration in e-commerce and online services. Over the next decade, Mexican companies are expected to embrace digital transformation more fully, driven by competitive pressures and global trends.
Q: What recent events impacted digital transformation in Mexico?
A: The pandemic acted as a catalyst for digital adoption in Mexico. Companies explored e-commerce and digital initiatives more actively, yet significant progress is still needed. US trends strongly influence Mexico, and organizations that successfully adopt digital and AI-driven practices will be able to compete globally. Economically and operationally, Mexico is well-positioned, and over the next decade, many local companies will succeed internationally by fully embracing digital transformation.
Q: What challenges must be overcome to increase technology adoption in the education and healthcare sectors?
A: Universities face a critical point: institutions that fail to adopt digital processes risk obsolescence. Digitalization in admissions, student engagement, and administrative operations is no longer optional. Higher education must embrace technology to remain competitive.
In healthcare, hospitals still face cumbersome admission and discharge processes. Digital solutions for patient records, identity management, and clinical procedures can improve efficiency and patient experience. Ultimately, our goal is to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences to clients while eliminating internal inefficiencies.
Q: How will collaboration between consulting firms and major cloud providers evolve to deliver more integrated and secure solutions?
A: Partnerships with cloud leaders like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft are essential. Technology success depends on strong ecosystems of global and local partners. Without effective local partners, even the best cloud or AI solutions may fail. Skilled professionals, particularly cloud architects, are limited in Mexico, so developing local expertise is critical. Building partnerships and capabilities ensures growth, cost efficiency, and long-term success, while enabling clients to achieve their business objectives.
Q: What are act digital’s main priorities in Mexico for 2026, and which business sectors show the most potential?
A: We aim to quadruple in size over the next four years and become a leading player in digital transformation, AI, and cloud solutions in Mexico and other markets. We focus on the financial services, mobility, automotive, manufacturing, CPG, and retail sectors, targeting legacy modernization, ERP migration, digitalizing neglected systems, testing, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
Nuevo Leon was initially chosen due to operational knowledge of the region. Moving forward, Monterrey and Mexico City are strategic priorities. Multiple offices in Mexico City will ensure proximity to clients and rapid, hands-on support. While our primary focus remains sectors with direct user engagement, we also see potential in heavy industries such as energy, mining, and oil. Our goal is to modernize and improve efficiency across all industries while generating economic impact.
