Aeroméxico Tops Global Punctuality Rankings in September 2025

Aeroméxico was recognized as the world’s most punctual airline in September 2025 by Cirium, achieving an On Time Performance (OTP) rate of 91.80%. The Mexican carrier operated 14,366 flights during the month, with a 99.98% tracking rate and 99.95% of scheduled flights completed without cancellations—rising from second place in August to the top position.

Brazil’s Azul Airlines ranked second with an OTP of 89.45%, followed by Delta Air Lines at 87.50%. Saudia (87.16%) and Qatar Airways (86.91%) rounded out the global top five. In Latin America, Aeroméxico also led the region, followed by Copa Airlines (90.65%) and Gol (90.35%).

Mexico City International Airport (AICM) climbed to second place among large airports worldwide for punctuality, posting an OTP of 89.74%, just below Honolulu International Airport (90.32%). This marked a sharp improvement from August, when AICM ranked 14th—its lowest position of the year.
