The most important aerospace fair in Latin America is just around the corner. Organized by the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA), with the Mexican Air Force, the Mexican Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) was born in 2015 as a broad  vision of the state to support the economic development of our country as a part of the centenary celebrations of the Mexican Air Force. The initiative brings together the leaders of the aviation industry, promotes trade and boosts the growth of the Mexican Aerospace Industry.

FAMEX has stood out for its various activities to encourage foreign direct investment, knowledge sharing and human resource training through events like  the Foreign Investment  Seminar, Aerospace  Education  Forum, Cycle of Technical Conferences, Aerospace Summit, business meetings, the Seminar on Migration to the Aerospace Industry and the Rectors’ Summit.

In addition, it seeks to promote the training and instruction of aeronautical human resources on safety matters through the Air Safety Meeting, organized by the Aviator Pilots College of Mexico.

Looking to take advantage of the success of the country’s aeronautical sector, the  Foreign Investment Seminar will project a message of confidence to investors through success stories from entrepreneurs themselves. The goal is to emphasize the incentives granted by federal and state governments, so that foreign companies can establish themselves in our country and in this way promote the development of new business, and encourage foreign direct investment and job creation.

The Congress of Women leaders of the Society in the Aeronautical Industry will also  present a number of panels, featuring  women who have distinguished themselves throughout their career, emphasizing the leadership achieved in their field of action and highlighting the commitment of those who seek to project women as an essential participant in the processes of the aerospace sector through a global network of initiatives for their professional development and setting up opportunities.

The Seminar on Migration to the Aerospace Industry plans to encourage interaction with the highest level actors, private and governmental institutions as well as industrial associations. This is strategically designed for companies in lateral industrial sectors, such as automotive, plastics, metal-mechanic and electronics, to capitalize on business growth and development. There will be a cycle of digital conferences for these sectors with topics of interest like the Migration Process, Operation Processes and Industry 4.0.

For  this year’s edition of FAMEX, France is the guest country of honor, a distinction granted for its strong presence in the aeronautical sector and for generating 1 in 4 jobs in this field in our country.

The fair will  have six pavilions, called French, Defense and Security, Mexico, United States, Educational and Spacial, in which different events will be held. For example, the exhibition  called  “Leonardo  DaVinci’s  Universe,”  will allow visitors to appreciate the inventor’s works and sketches. Each pavilion will have an auditorium where the different seminars, panels and conferences will be held.

Besides this, FAMEX 2023 is going to launch its interactive app, which is already in the testing phase, with which participants can schedule events, check itineraries, have a map of the entire fair as well as having access to live conferences and the ability to download them.

In collaboration with the Mexican Association of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA), Airbus, the Mexican Council of Aerospace Education (COMEA), the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the National Chamber of Air Transport (CANAERO) have launched a call for participants in the will be  “Sustainable Aviation Fuels Mexico-2023” contest, which seeks to raise awareness and encourage innovation, through research or complementary projects, in “clean” fuels for aviation. The winning project will be awarded during the fair.

Likewise, the attendance of big companies likes General Electric Aerospace, AIA, Siemens, SAAB, Leonardo, Thales, Safran, Naval group, Dassault Systems, Hydra, Bombardier, Airbus, Getting Closer to the Universe Foundation, Echazarreta Foundation and more than 40 universities from all over the world has already been confirmed. These companies and organizations will offer their services and products.

FAMEX 2023 expects to exceed its record number of 635 companies, after having carried out during the last two years an intense national and international promotional program at the following events: the International Fair for Security and Defense (FEINDEF) in Madrid (Spain), the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE) in Santiago (Chile), the Aerospace Business Summit California-Mexico in the offices of the Mexican Consulate in the city of Los Angeles (US), the HANNOVER MESSE 2022 and ILA Berlin Air Show (Germany), the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) (UK), the Indo Aerospace Expo & Forum in Jakarta (Indonesia), the Summit Queretaro in Queretaro, Aviation Friends in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Plenary Sessions of the Mexican Association of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA) and the Convention of the International Council of Air Shows 2022 (ICAS) in Las Vegas (US), among others.

Join us at this huge event where you will get the opportunity to project your company at an international level during the most important aerospace security and defense event in Latin America, from April 26 to 29, 2023, at the Military Air Base No. 1 in Santa Lucia, State of Mexico.
