Grupo Bimbo announced a global commitment to eliminate artificial coloring from its entire product portfolio by the end of 2026, reinforcing the company’s focus on simple and natural recipes. Currently, 99% of Bimbo’s daily consumer products, including bread, bakery items, tortillas, bagels, and English muffins, are free of artificial flavors and colors. These categories account for roughly 50% of the company’s global net sales and more than 70% of sales in the United States.

The Access to Nutrition Initiative (ATNI) has recognized Grupo Bimbo as one of the Top 4 global food companies for its efforts to improve the nutritional quality of products, implement responsible marketing practices, and expand accessibility to its portfolio.

“Grupo Bimbo continues to advance its health and wellness goals. By the end of this year, we expect 100% of our bread, bakery, and breakfast products to provide positive nutrition, achieving a Health Star Rating of 3.5 or higher. Looking ahead, our aim is that by 2026, all products will be free of artificial colors, and by 2030, 100% of our baked goods and snacks will be made with simple, natural recipes, remaining safe, nutritious, and accessible to families worldwide,” said Rafael Pamias, CEO, Grupo Bimbo.
