Grupo Bimbo Tops Merco's Reputation Ranking

Grupo Bimbo has been named the Most Reputable Company in Mexico for the eighth consecutive year, according to the latest ranking by Corporate Reputation Monitoring (Merco). The evaluation involved over 30,000 surveys from executives, financial analysts, education sector specialists, and other experts, reinforcing the company's leadership in the food sector.

In the 12th edition of the ranking, Grupo Bimbo also secured third place among the best communication teams in the country. Merco’s ranking assessed and classified 200 top national and international companies based on criteria including financial results, corporate social responsibility, and product offerings. Additionally, the rankings were influenced by feedback from specialized journalists, economists, public surveys, digital presence, and merit evaluations.

The ranking is based on a comprehensive analysis that involved contributions from 1,385 executives, 86 financial analysts, 83 business journalists, 81 government members, 86 NGOs, 68 unions, 69 consumer associations, 92 business professors, 104 social media managers, and over 3,000 consumers. This broad participation underscores Grupo Bimbo's commitment to maintaining its leadership position for eight consecutive years.

In 2024, Grupo Bimbo was also recognized by TIME magazine as one of the "World's Best Companies." In its recent Annual Report, the bakery company highlighted several achievements, including that 98% of its daily consumer products are free from artificial flavorings and colorings, and that 92% of its electricity comes from renewable sources such as solar and wind energy. The company has also developed 263 Buen Vecino (Good Neighbor) projects in 28 countries, further demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
