Alejandro Osorio Appointed CONCAMIN Financing President
Alejandro Osorio Carranza has been named President of the Financing Committee for the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (CONCAMIN).
In his new role, Osorio has stressed the importance of forming a strategic partnership between the industrial sector and financial institutions to enhance economic competitiveness and sustainability. He outlined the committee’s goals, which include improving access to financing, leasing, and factoring for CONCAMIN’s member chambers and companies.
Additionally, the committee aims to advance financial education and promote a financing culture to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which play a crucial role in Mexico’s economic development.
Rogelio Arzate, President, ANPACT, underscored the need to strengthen the domestic market by enhancing the supply chain and procurement processes, particularly in light of nearshoring trends. He highlighted the critical need for better financing options for SMEs and pointed out the significance of the CONCAMIN Financing Committee in addressing this need.
The committee will focus on building strategic partnerships with financial authorities, including the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), national development banks such as Nafin-Bancomext and Banobras, and international development institutions like the North American Development Bank (NADBank) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). It will also work closely with financial organizations, including the Mexican Bankers Association (ABM), the Association of Multiple Purpose Financial Companies in Mexico (ASOFOM), and Fintech Mexico, to advance financing opportunities for CONCAMIN’s members
